My design website is SimplyBetterDesign.com
Yes, it needs updating, but I am semi-retired.
You will get a warning that the site is not secure courtesy of Google.
I kind of resent that Google does that. Google has been in the business of scaring a lot of people lately. They are not really looking out for you. I hate that they post “not secure” warnings on harmless websites, which does not make anyone safer but has the consequence that many small businesses are forced to update their sites even though there is no danger. Many small businesses would have to go to the expense to hire an expert to add the secure socket protocols that google knows are not necessary. I have no idea how they benefit from trying to scare visitors.
Internet safety tip: The only time you need to see https is when you are asked to supply information, usually payment information. If you are just there to read, it is usually not necessary. The actual safety of any site is not assured. Sites that have https can be rigged to be unsafe in many ways. I wrote all about cookie stealing traps, keylogging and other internet hazards in my book Stardoll Cheats, available on Kindle, so I am kind of an expert on this.
I have several blogspot blogs but I haven’t done much with them. I always seem to find other stuff to do. Lately I have been making masks and I’m in the middle of about a dozen other projects. I got another Ukulele for Christmas and a new book of songs so I have lots to practice. And then there is cooking and cleaning and laundry and taking care of all the household tech. My hubby got a new computer in January and it took me over a week to set it up so he had access to all his files and favorite programs. I would never guess I would become a computer nerd, but I seem to have a knack for it. I don’t code, but I keep things connected and safe.
